US-Israeli Strikes Cause Heavy Casualties in Tehran

(MENAFN) At least 503 people have lost their lives, and roughly 5,700 others have been wounded in the recent US-Israeli attacks on Tehran since late last month, according to the director of Tehran Province Emergency Services.

Mohammad Esmail Tavakoli stated that the majority of the casualties were civilians, including 12 children ranging in age from two months to 12 years.

The US and Israel have maintained coordinated attacks on Iran since February 28, which have resulted in around 1,300 deaths to date, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In response, Tehran has carried out drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations, claiming these actions are aimed at “US military assets.”
